About Tufty-Time
Designed by Patricia Urquiola in 2005, Tufty-Time remains one of B&B Italia’s most enduring designs — and one of the most imitated modular sofas in the world. Its genius lies in the system: an ottoman as the base unit, combined with central, corner, and terminal elements with high or low armrests, that can be configured into almost any arrangement imaginable. Traditional sofa, chaise longue, corner sofa, island seating — the same components, endlessly reconfigurable. Cosy without being heavy, generous without being imposing.
Materials & Construction
Built on a tubular steel and steel profile frame, upholstered in Bayfit® cold-shaped flexible polyurethane foam with a polyester fibre cover — a combination that gives the sofa its characteristic depth and resilience without losing its shape over time. Feet are in thermoplastic material. Available in fabric or leather upholstery across multiple grades.
Back cushions (T60_C) are filled with down feather and polyester fibre in a pillow-style typology — recommended for comfort but sold separately.
