Designed in 1950 but never put into production during his lifetime, the CH26 is one of the more quietly remarkable stories in Wegner's catalogue. Carl Hansen & Søn finally brought it to life from his original sketch — and the result is unmistakably his: organic curves, exceptional joinery, and proportions that feel immediately right the moment you sit down.

The CH26 occupies a rare position — equally at home at a dining table or a desk. Wegner designed it with everyday use in mind, considering table height and posture with the same care he brought to his lounge chairs. The curved armrest supports give it a warmth and solidity that most dining chairs simply do not have.
