Few lounge chairs fold as elegantly as the MG501. Designed by Morten Gøttler in 1997, the Cuba Chair has a low, open profile drawn from the proportions of royal thrones — confident and sculptural, yet lightweight enough to move with ease. This outdoor version reimagines that form in untreated FSC™-certified teak and a tight, weather-resistant flat-woven rope seat, bringing the same contemporary aesthetic to gardens, balconies, and terraces.

The solid teak frame is rich in natural oils, developing a characteristic silver-grey patina over time. Steel brackets ensure long-term structural durability, while the flat-weave rope seat is resistant to varied weather conditions. The simple folding mechanism offers flexibility without compromise — the chair stores flat against a wall or stacks away when not in use.
