Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 Table Lamp Centenary Edition

Manufacturer: Louis Poulsen
Designer: Poul Henningsen
The PH 3/2 Table Lamp Centenary Edition marks one hundred years of one of design history's most consequential ideas.
In 1926, Poul Henningsen presented System PH to the world — a mathematical approach to shade geometry that eliminated glare entirely, directing light downward while casting a warm ambient glow upward. It was a radical departure from how artificial light had been thought about, and it remains the foundation of every lamp Louis Poulsen produces today.
This Centenary Edition is built on the 3/2 form — one of the most refined expressions of the system. Three shades work in concert: a mouth-blown four-layered amber upper shade that filters and warms the upward light, and two mouth-blown white opal lower shades, glossy outside and sandblasted matte within, that diffuse downward light to a soft, shadow-free quality that is genuinely difficult to achieve any other way.
The material choices are deliberate. Aged brass, lacquered to hold its patina permanently, paired with a dark brown textile cord — a combination that reads as both archival and entirely contemporary. Each lamp carries an individual ID number engraved on the base.
It works equally well on a desk, a side table, or a bedside — anywhere you want considered, quality light rather than simply illumination.

- Finish: Aged brass, lacquered
- Cable: 2.8m dark brown textile, black plug
