Hans J. Wegner designed the HJW03 as part of a larger lighting series commissioned for Hotel Scandinavia in Copenhagen. The series shares a distinctive character: slightly tilted shades, straight lines, a quietly futuristic quality that sits comfortably in both mid-century and contemporary interiors.
The Opala Floor Lamp Midi features an asymmetric opal acrylic shade with a painted aluminium top. The asymmetry is deliberate - the shade directs a focused, pleasant light where it is needed while the opal surface softly illuminates the surrounding space. An in-line switch on the cord keeps operation simple. Well suited to living rooms, reading corners, and lounge settings.
