The Pendant has been in continuous production since 1962. That is not an accident.
Hans J. Wegner designed the HJW37 for the dining table - a pendant that directs light downward, softly and without glare, while remaining an object worth looking at from every seat around the table. The aluminium shade is paired with a 24-carat gold- or nickel-plated hanger, a material detail that gives the piece its quiet authority without announcing itself.
The design includes a height-adjustable socket to position the light source precisely for glare-free illumination - a functional consideration that was built in from the beginning, not added later. Available with or without a lift mechanism: the lift version allows the height of the pendant to be adjusted after installation, with a white ceiling canopy included. Three colour combinations - Black/Nickel, White/Nickel, and Green/Gold - each shifting the character of the piece from understated to considered.
